Kornelia's work was inspiring throughout my cop project, I'm so jealous of the sheer amount of stuff she has to show for her work, which is all really pretty. As well as a few other fashion illustrators I emailed her with my questions. I'm really into this kind of work, and I'd love to produce stuff at a similar level to this. My questions were:
She got back to me and apparently she has no work that she doesn't like - It helps to be confident I guess. A few artists have told me that their first jobs were commissions from friends which highlights the importance of getting connections to me. A lot of people are telling me not to worry, despite it being what I do best. I think the general advice I'm getting is that as long as I work hard and do work that I'm passionate about, as well as not giving up with contacting people for jobs, I should be fine. Fingers crossed.
