The first person to get back to me was Sarah Hankinson. I love her work! It's so bright, fun and playful. She sent me a PDF of her FAQ. Contained in the images below is the original email I sent, as well as her response. The email I sent is the same one I used for the other fashion illustrators to save time. I thought that complimenting them might help. I wanted to know about their general experience as illustrators who have been out in the world, so as well as asking about what they think their best work is, I asked how they motivate themselves etc. just because I want to know how it feels to be in that position, also so I could compare it to how I feel now. I also asked for their advice to a nervous graduate.
Sarah's response was a bit impersonal, since she just sent me answers to frequently asked questions. But I still appreciate the response, and the PDF was quite helpful and informative.
